Following on from our Hankie Challenge, we're having another go with scarves (I though fabric rather than knitted, but I don't mind if you have a really good idea for a knitted scarf!)

Kay has a few scarves available if anyone can't find one, but otherwise raid your scarf drawers, charity shops and pester your friends!

We all have until the end of April to make something from an old scarf. Post a photo here and we'll vote for our favourite item at the end.

Good luck!

Hopefully this link will work to take you to the album that I have uploaded some pictures of scarves into. I thought I had more so I will have to have another look. There are a few left.

I am IN for this this challenge Katy. I have a wonderful idea, but I'm not sure if I have the skills to pull it off, my challenge submission may just end up being a chopped up scarf with some interfacing attached wink, but I figure messing up a few times is a good way to learn!

No problem Margaret, plenty of time!

Kay, it will be fine! Just start with your least favourite spare scarf!

I've been to the charity shops! Is it alright to use other fabric with the scarves, or is it just scarves?

Katy, As Ralph wasn't allowed to enter the handkerchief challenge, would it be better not to post photos or for you to post them anonymously so that you could enter the competitions too?

Hi Margaret, yup, you can add fabric to your scarf, you just need a scarf in there somewhere.

It wasn't really the anonymous bit that made me disqualify myself and Ralph, it was more that the cuteness of the model was an unfair advantage, as obviously everyone would vote for Ralph wearing a coat or naked! smile p

Thanks for the scarf Kay, I'll look out for the post. Is it ok if I donate to trade aid for it too?

I bought 3 scarves from the charity shops, so I am in, please. One of them had me puzzled as it is very heavy with all the jangly bits on it. Penny dropped - I think it is a belly dancing scarf!

What a great find. I really do miss visiting charity shops these days. You never know what you'll find there, and it's always at a good price.
