My next door neighbour lent Daisy a very lovely men's checked hanky covered in Olbas Oil a few months ago. I washed it and tried to return it, but Brian pinched it for himself. (My neighbour let him off, but I didn't) Anyway I bought him some really nice cheap hankies from Aldi for Christmas to go in his stocking, but when he opened those, I decided one was too nice to blow your nose on so I've pinched it myself to use in some sort of sewing project. I have no idea what to do with it, so I thought I'd set us all a challenge. And strangely today, I saw Maria had the very same idea on her new projects list last year, so it will also tick one from her list!

So, find a nice hanky and turn it into something else! I don't mind what you make, but please email me a photo, and we can vote for a favourite to win a prize. You can have until the end of February to complete your hanky item and send me a photo, and let's see what we make!

I'm envious Maria, I had a good stash of my great-grandmother's Hankies after she passed away. I planned on making a table cloth or dresser scarf with them...but then the house flooded and they could have grown toad-stools, so in the bin they went.

I'll have a look see for a hanky or two of my husband's mother's..will see what I can come up with.

Love a challenge!

Kim

I got busy last night with 2 hankies from the pack of 8. Reasonably pleased so far but need to shop for some haberdashery before I do a big reveal...
