Received your swap today, thank you. I would love to join your group next month if that is OK. If you could let me know all the details, size of swaps, who do I send it when finished etc. Val W.

If anyone else would like to join in next month, here's a little bit of info about making an ATC

  • An ATC is an Artist's Trading Card, originally swapped by artists to give a little flavour of their work
  • We make them from fabric, pelmet vilene and bondaweb. You can use fusible vilene if you have it, and then you won't need bondaweb. You can add wadding if you like
  • An ATC is 2.5 x 3.5 in
  • Design and make the front, and then layer it with vilene and a backing fabric. Use bondaweb to fuse the fabric to the vilene if needed.
  • Then secure the layers with stitching round the edges. You can use satin or blanket stitch or zigzag or whatever you feel like
  • Write a message on the back, take a photo and post the ATC to your swap partner
  • We have a swap every month, and ATCs should be sent by the end of the month, if you can't manage to do that, just let me or Carol and your partner know. Sometimes a delay is inevitable, and we don't mind, but it is helpful to know so that we don't let anyone down.
  • Have fun!

Tessa

I'm sorry you're still waiting for your ATC from me. I'll do my best to get it to you by the end of the month.
