Evening all! teeth 2

I'm going to be doing a quilt for my aunt and I have 4 charm packs plus fabric for borders set aside and would appreciate any ideas as to what pattern(s) would be good. Oh it's Moda's Papillon I'm using. Many thanks Jas rose

Excellent point Katy! Will have to have a word with the shoe Fairy to see if she needs extra support and training to help her meet her targets! No probs with the fabric Fairy who really needs to take a break! teeth 2

Is it terribly naughty to gloat about getting 7mtrs of fabric for just £21.27? Mind you I was looking for shoes at the time but the fabric fairy shwished her wand and 'poof' I was in the fabric shop. Naughty fairy! wink

I've never used an American firm for fabric as I felt that their postage charges would make the purchase too expensive. I see that previous 'chatters' have used an American firm and wondered if they could advise how they found their experiencequestion

Hi Angela, that's the range - I'm looking for the butterfly one but with a green background. May get some of this one too though. Many thanks for replying though laugh

I'm looking to get some of this fabric. I picked up a piece earlier this year in a 'scrap' section at the Ingliston show just to pad out my purchase. I wasn't really sure about it but after using it in a disappearing nine-patch, I totally love it and want to get some more. Can't find it though crying Can any of the good folks here point me to any in the UK? Looking in particular for the butterfly one (think it's called Walnut Butterflies?) but I'm happy to be pointed to any of the range. Thank you smiley

Actually have just taken a closer look at the fabric on Katy's link - mine is identical but with a dark green background which makes the gold lines stand out a bit more. May end up getting some of this to contrast with mine x

Not the one I have, mine has a dark green background with vines/shamrocks outlined in gold, but well done for finding this one, it's very pretty Jas x

Hi Kate, just checked my stash. The shamrock fabric I've got is from a Hoffman collection and is called "Celebrate". June x

Hi Kate,

Let us know how you get on (and get a piccy of the finished article?? ) Have been looking at the american sites - hadn't realised just how expensive it was to get anything shipped from there!! Boy does it make the fabric uber expensive!! Will keep my eyes open for any others available in UK for you. June x

07/06/2012 13:17:06

Hi, this is a little weird - my post from earlier has completely disappeared!! Very strange!

Anyway Kate, I recently got some fabric with shamrocks on it and I'm pretty certain it was from the Seattle Quilt Company in Aberdeen. They do have a web site but there's not alot of fabric on there so I'd recommend you just email them - they're usually quick at replying!

Best of luck with your hunt,

June x
