Pfft! Will get sorted out.....

Yipes! Blocks being completed already!! Organised people! Have to do red/white and guess what colour I don't have?? Yep red, can't believe it - it's my favourite colour and I have only wee scraps in my stash. *sighs* guess I'll have to go shopping....again....such a harship lol!

Seeing as we finally got some snow today, I treated myself to some FQ's from the sale at the Seattle Quilt Co - very happy

Grandma's Flower Garden?

Thanks folks, was really looking for something all worked out using charm squares but I may be able to work it out from this *crosses fingers* x

I wonder if anyone can help me? I want to do the Northumberland Star block using charm squares but I'm struggling to get things right. Can anyone point me to such a pattern? Or give me advice on how to proceed?

Claire - you are sooo right there! Actually managed to sort out some tops with their border fabrics when I got back. Don't have much room so ended up popping each set into plastic bags!! Not ideal but at least they're together and 'out of sight' lol!

Well just incase there's anyone out there wondering if I went back to the fabric sale....well duh! 'course I did!! Picked up 3mtrs of fabric (Fabric Freedom); a metre of fabulous shaded purple and 6 FQ's all for £26.80!!! Boy am I a happy girl!!!

Bottle bag - you know, the kind you use to wrap a single bottle of wine as a pressie!

Yeh feel quite smug really lol! Have to say I'm beginning to feel quite tempted to pop back tomorrow.....just for a wee look you understand.... Having said that however, I do need some backing fabric, and some borders and some....

Soo to cheer me up seeing as we don't have have snow in Dundee (or at least nowt to speak of!) I decided to trot off to my local fabric shop and what did I find? Well they only had 20% off all fabric!! Got a Moda Jelly roll for £20 and nearly 3mtrs of fabric from Freedom Fabric for £10. Went back to work feeling very happy

Thanks ladies, knew it was a daft question but you know what it's like when you get a silly thought stuck in your head...you just have to get it out!! lol

This is probably a very silly question but as I'm pretty well known for being daft I'm going to ask it anyway! At what point is a quilt considered zapped? I've kinda presumed that it is completely finished (quilted; borders done) - is that right?

Love this idea, will help me keep track of things. So I currently have the following to complete:

• Christmas Log Cabin - top done; needs borders etc
• Disappearing Nine Patch - top done; needs borders etc (we call it the Smiley Top 'cause it's so bright!)
• Charming Old Maid - top done; needs borders etc
• Boxed Jelly - top done; needs borders etc

Can you see a pattern to this??

Also have:

• Milky Way
• Moon In Window

- both of which I have cut up but either I don't like the pattern now or I don't like the fabrics I've chosen!!

PLUS, I need to make a quilt for my Aunt's 60th Birthday in June.

Phew! That should keep me busy for a wee while
