Oh dear oh dear I need to loose at LEAST 4 st. I do go to WW, but don't count points, just need to eat the right things and weigh and portion control things such as spuds and pasta. really it is getting the mind in the right plane that is most important. I will be weighing Weds and will know what I weigh and how much over the 4 st I need to loose.

I'm 5' 7 or 8, well I was 8 but I may have shrunk. Yes 9 12 was too low for you. I would like to be about 11st a 14/16 would suit me fine. Anything below 12 will suit me. I was 16 6 last time | weighed, but have had Xmas and the new year since. I was up to 22/24 at the beginning of last year. Come on we can do it.

Hi I go to WW as I meet my friend and we go out, do it more for the friends there than anything else. I am doing it for my joints and self esteem. I have about 4 + stone to loose, yes can do a thread and can chat about good recipes we find, how hungry we are, etc and of course our sucesses and what we have sewn to keep the hunger monster at bay. If we are brave we could put up a before picture. I have done it before, went from 18 + st to 10+ st in a year!!!! Not expecting that again. will get the photos of that up sometime on our thread.

Could set little weekly targets etc, like not eat chocolate for the week!!!

Marlene and Margaret I've not done too well today either, lovely pasty, why is food so nice? Weds I am off to WWatchers so will use that weight as a start for the loss. Shall we have a thread for us!!!

I must admit I was helped by the small detail that it was our groups quilt show this year, so there was an effort to get things finished for that as well.

So pleased to hear that Sylvia's sight is improving. Hands and eyes are so essential to us.

I need a new hip and knee, but I really have to work hard this year to loose most if not all of the extra weight I am carrying. He would do it now, but my shoulder is also bad and at the weight I am I know I will not manage on the crutches. So I think I must use my hands to sew sew sew so food can't get in them. Anyone want to join me on a slimming journey?

Pam, once you have put it down part finished because something more urgent rears it's head, it is difficult to pick it up again. You are always going to, for me it is not because I don't like it. If that was the case I would totally scrap it!!!! Then you see something new and have to have it, you are all keen on the new, so the old gets left again!!!

My eldest GD seems to be very interested in patchwork, and has asked to learn to sew. Will have to see how things go, Kimmers how old is your GD, great sewing machine.

Lovely Christmas pictures. Over the years I have watched with envy all the pictures of your grandchildren. I had 2 living local that I never saw. It 'killed' me. This year my son has insisted and I had my 2 grandchildren ( Isobel and Cora) and my son up yesterday for dinner. The best Xmas present ever,
