Just thought I'd show my face, as it were, to wish everyone a happy new year!

Thanks Ladies, for viewing the vid. I must have watched it about 5 times!
I should have said,, yes he is the one in the blue and gets 'interviewed' at about the 49 second mark. And I am very proud of all my boys,,,but particularly soldier boy,, he had it a bit harder when he was younger.
Lovely work going on.
I just wanted to boast about one of my sons. Soldier boy, aka twin no 1, is on YouTube in a boxing tournament for his regiment. I didn't know he could box/fight. If any one is interested look up Queens Royal Lancers final boxing tournament. He is in the first minute so you don't have to watch it all.
It's a three parter Ladies.
Thread: Hug Hearts for September
Thank you Katy,,,
I recieved some hearts earlier in the year, either May or June, and have decided to use them in a scrappy quilt along with my swonky stars. I have cut the hearts in half and put them back together in a crazy sort of way! Hope to get some pictures in an album soon.
Thanks Margaret S,, made the snip snip one this afternoon,, just have to bind it tomorrow.
Is there a pattern for a scissor holder/case on this site? I thought I had seen one.
Thank you for all the congratulatory messages Ladies.
My quilt won First Prize in the 'You Made It, Let's See It class,,,, and my mitts won Second Prize in the Knitwear class. No actual prizes, no trophy, they were for the Best in Sections winners. And the Best in Show was won by a man that made a fantstic decorative cake. Made to look like a vegetable stall.
Thread: Halloween Mugrug Swap 2014
Mmmmm,,, haven't got any Halloween fabrics,, don't want to buy any Halloween fabrics,,, I will have a think about this and let you know mid - september.
I have just put my Batik Firecracker quilt, and a pair of knitted mitts, in to my local craft show. First time I have done this. The prize is a Trophy, that you hang on to for a year. I have to wait till after 1.30 this afternoon to see if I have won!!

Gorgeous,,,, love the babies!
Thread: Quilt as you go
I have been looking for the vid,, but I think it was on someones blog,,,, when I come across it I will let you know.
I will probably tie it,,and just sandwich as normal with binding. I have seen a yootoob video doing this.
the backing has a largeish pattern and want to have it as one piece,,,,,
I have a new question for you,,, I want to do a q a y g quilt, but quilting my blocks without the backing on. Would the method be the same as usual, but just with out the backing to the sandwich?
