I hope all goes well and that you're soon well enough to stitch again!

Take care x

How about hairspray to loosen the stain and then washing (or, if it's a small stain you could use a cotton bud and a lid of hairspray and do spot cleaning...). I also love the stuff in the pink tub

P.S. Did I tell you that the gymnastics is my favourite part of the Olympics?! You must be a mind reader

I'm glad it arrived and that you liked it! I really enjoyed making it - I love hand stitching, especially if I've got something good to watch...it was the Forsyte saga while I was stitching this!

Thanks for taking a photo,

Thread: Advice needed on posting a quilt

Caz - thanks, I think you're right! If pushed I'd probably say textiles and keep my fingers crossed. I'm also planning to send it by special delivery which seems to offer more security in transit.

Q&P - I'll have a look, thanks!

Thanks, Fiona! I think you're right, I'm going to have to fold it (probably in thirds length and width ways) - I'm really surprised by how small the size limit is for Royal Mail. Special delivery is a good idea, I'll do that! I've changed the day I'm going to the show so that I can pick it up but it's at least a 75 minute drive (one way) which feels a little silly when I'm just delivering one quilt!

Hello!

I've entered one of my quilts in the Harrogate quilt show but am unable to take it down in person and I was wondering if anyone had any advice on the best way to post it? I was thinking about rolling it to minimise creasing but at 56" square it's too big to be counted as a parcel or poster by royal mail and the courier prices have made me feel faint!

Any suggestions?!

Hi Liz,

I've just posted your postcard (clothed - it's raining!) so it should be appearing through your letterbox tomorrow...I hope!

Hope you like it!

I feel like I've been stitching binding for days! One and a half down...one and a half to go! I'll take photos all at once, just need to find a nice spot to put them!

Wheely lovely

Thanks Tessa, you're wheely great! I was going to make it this afternoon but I must have slept oddly and I woke to find that I was struggling to move my neck, upper back or shoulders (and couldn't turn over in bed!!)...thank goodness for Ibuleve spray and painkillers! I'm hoping it'll ease off as the afternoon progresses and I'll be back stitching tomorrow (at the latest!).
