Eileen, I have just turned my 2018 calendar to December (surely it can't be already??!!) and love your Christmas table centre. I shall enjoy it in my kitchen for the whole month.

Hooray, finally got my calendar now Rosemary. Lovely, thank you SO much. Very clever and appropriate backgrounds to each quilt.

xxxx Sylvia

That plait is lovely Margaret. It looks very complicated and lengthy to make. Is it? I do actually like sewing curves, or is it appliqued?

Beautiful quilt for a lucky little girl Rosemary.

As I wrote the other message to you about the calendar I realised that there was probably something from you on here about my blocks. Glad they will be OK. Look forward to photos. xxx

Posted to you yesterday Rosemary.

Morning Rosemary, will post my blocks within a day or two and pay the money via PayPal.

Have made two 8"ish (one is a bit oblong but you can cut it down if you want it square) and also a couple of simple 5" ones which you might want to use to reflect the patterned material I have used, somewhere else in quilt. Sending a 11" ish chunk of background for you to use as necessary.

Yes please Rosemary. Will try to find something you haven't already had, bit difficult because I don't make very much these days - well a lot of UFOs!

My kitchen wouldn't be complete without one. xxxx

Hi everyone

Back home and reasonably sorted after a lovely trip to my brother in Kingston, Ontario.

My other brother was here house sitting but had gone off to the mountains for a couple of nights for walking during what was the worst of the storms elsewhere. Fortunately it was not so bad here, BUT on another one of the many storms we have had lately our tv and oven were both zapped! I had never heard of an oven going before. It needed 3 new elements before it worked again, heaven knows about the tv. Fortunately we have a spare and don't watch it much anyway.

Further up the East coast was the disaster zone which was terrible. 13 people have died as a result of it and of course many are still out of their houses. Our English speaking group here have donated a significant amount from our charity fund and people have volunteered for the cleanup. Weather is still very dramatic with storms every other day. What have we done to our planet?

Now I must dust off the sewing machine and get going, firstly on blocks for FoQ 19.

Best of good luck for your op, tomorrow Eileen. I had a friend with one of those and they are SO painful aren't they? Guess you will be delighted to get rid of it.

Thanks for news of Katy Rosemary, I think of her often.

Lovely to hear from you Fiona, flex those silver fingers and make lovely music.

Oh my Margaret that is a wonderful quilt for a very special little boy. Makes mine for my language partner look very boring.

I use my old Pfaff as much, maybe even more, than my Janome. There are several features which I prefer to newer more expensive machines. Enjoy Rosemary .....
