I was pleased to see Jacki Winstanley's article on page 8 of the July issue.

I was at Beamish museum last week . I have enjoyed many days there ,either working with the Young Quilters or

helping out on the special days they have. Dressing in costume is good fun, even when some people think I really do live in one of the cottages. Last week I was there with others form QG Region 15E to look at the work of Joe the Quilter. His quilt is amazing considering the size of his cottage and light he would be working in. The pattern is quite difficult to follow due to the age of the quilt but a member of the QG and her husband have made a replica of it and it is to go into Joe's cottage when it is eventually rebuilt at Beamish.

If anyone is in the North East/Durham, Beamish is well worth a visit.
