Hello Eileen, thank you for your good wishes.

Yes, I am putting heat n bond on the back and giving them permanent fabric markers to write their messages on the front.

Best wishes

Been busy outlining leaves onto batik this afternoon. Preparation for my son's wedding on Wednesday. We are inviting guests to write a message to the happy couple on the leaves and then I will put them together on a wall hanging. Exciting times! Something to look forward to! Unfortunately some guests cannot come because of covid but it will be great to see the family and friends who can manage.

Hello Rosemary - hope you get back to your old self soon!
There are little clips you can get now that hold your ‘sandwich’ together. Bobbin clips and thread nets to stop your thread from unravelling. Different types of interfacing and the little mini iron especially useful for appliqué. Pom Pom makers, bias tape makers and finger and thumb protectors are also useful. Fusible bias tape used for stained glass windows. Small hanging frames, embroidery hoops and weighted cord used to weigh down hems for wall hangings. Probably got a magnetic pin holder already. Cord for making baskets using scraps. Quilting pins or staples for getting the ‘sandwich’ together.Heat and Bond stuff as well as wadding. There are always lovely buttons and little bags of embroidered flowers and animals at quilt shows. Memory bear patterns and other soft creations… thinking of the lovely stuff you have made in the past (Holly and Ruby). Little pin cushion packs, table mats, mug rug packs to get people started. That’s all I can think to add just now!

Hello Sylvia, what you are seeing are six napkins. When opened out they form a semi-circle. I got the idea using Donna Jordan’s YouTube video. (Tried to post the link but it didn’t work.). Just put in her name and scroll down till you see the Christmas Tree napkins.  You can put the cutlery in the folds.  Tempted to use them for cutlery and make other napkins which are not so fancy, to be used as proper napkins!

I haven’t made very much for a while but I liked the look of these Christmas napkins and decidedly to give it a go!

Thanks, Eileen. I had to look back and found that I had bought them on e-bay. They are part of a Michael Miller panel. I used the big panel for one side of the baby quilt I sent down before Christmas.

Finished the 4 quilt pictures and decided to frame them to keep the dust off! These go with the bigger baby quilt for our new grandson.
