I can sympathise with the sleepless nights! My two week old baby hasn't learnt the difference between night and day. He spends a lot of the day sleeping then stays up all night! I'm trying to get into the habit of napping during the day, but I'm not very good at it yet...
Hope we all do better tonight.

What a fantastic story - it really made me laugh. It was also sage advice for a (relative) newbie like me that it pays to give something a go and not to get too hung up on the 'right' way of doing things!

Hi Tessa,
Glad to hear you're feeling better. Your DP sounds like a star - chocolate and fabric laid on for you - what more could any of us want?!

Your quilt is fantastic - what a beautiful pattern and it really suits the fabrics.
I know what I want to do with mine, but I haven't got round to it yet...

Juliet and Fiona, I found at least 5 different versions of 'Crossroads' blocks when I was looking on the internet. It's going to be interesting to see what everyone produces.

Ros, your block is lovely. I'm looking forward to making this block.

'unique' is a very kind way of describing my block - thank you!

I've done my basket block

I've also (finally) finished my Carpenter's Wheel block, but I realised when I was pressing it that I've put it together wrong.

I thought about taking it apart and re-doing it, but it's taken so long for me to get it done, I've decided to leave it. If I get the chance, I'll make another block.

Fantastic baskets! I'm hoping to get mine done today (even though I haven't finished the last two blocks yet!)

I've finally finished photographing my UFOs - Katy, I've e-mailed the photos to you. Please could you load them up into the album.
Now, I just need to finish them!

Hi Claire,
Welcome to the forum.  I'm a new(ish) quilter too I've found being part of it really helpful and done quilty things that I wouldn't have done otherwise.

Fiona, your Bear's Paw looks great.
Rosemary, I've still got two blocks to do as well.  I'm planning on doing some sewing on Friday, along with the 5 million things on my non-sewing 'to do' list!
