Hi Tessa,
that's a good idea, I hadn't thought of doing just one paw!

Juliet - your quilt looks like it's going to be great when it's finished
Marian - I agree, I can't wait to see everyone else's finished quilts and to see how different they all are.
Tessa - I'm doing 6" blocks. It was a good decision until we got to Bear's Paw. It's going to take me a while to work that one out , which is why I haven't done it yet. I'll eventually get my thinking cap on and the calculator out!

Hi Tessa,
I like the sound of perfect points!

Hi Tessa,
I've never tried foundation piecing. Perhaps I should add it to my list of things to try!

Hi Liz,
Happy birthday - it sounds like you had a lovely day.

I've voted too - I thought all the cushions were great, and a big improvement on Kirstie's effort.

You have all been very kind with your compliments. So, I might ditch the pen and paper and give the sewing machine a go. I'll let you know how I get on. I think the results might be ... interesting!!!

Tessa, you are right, I did have a lot of fun and I found it quite therapeutic too.
Jill, thanks! I expect my efforts using a machine would be awful, so I'll be sticking to pen and paper for a while

As I've never done machine quilting, let alone free motion quilting, I've had a go at stage 1.

Thanks Carol!
DH took the boy swimming today, so I got another block done:

It took me a while to do it. Flying geese are not my favourite!

I'm watching it now! She seems to be getting very stressed about some oasis...!

I saw that book as well and nearly fell off my chair! Luckily, the cake challenge was the first episode!

Hi Carol,
Thanks! I'm really enjoying making the blocks when I get time (not much spare time between work and 7 month old baby!)

Quick question ... is the deadline the end of December (she asks hopefully!)?
Thanks, Chloe.

Tessa, you have been a trooper on this. I wouldn't have started this without your encouragement.
