Sorry Nicole...your message has only just appeared for me as well! One of the first decisions you will have to make...what is your budget? Are you in a hurry? Certainly..if you can get to the Festival of Quilts at the NEC...then you will be able to try out most makes...and there are often really good offers to be had there! A lot of machines have loads of facilities..most of which you may never use! If you want to quilt large items...then a big throat ( the space to the right of the needle) is really useful! Having said that one of the best quilters I know uses an ordinary Bernina without too many fancy facilities! I was in your situation last Summer and everyone I asked praised a different make...and probably someone else said that they would never have one in the house! I have a Pfaff and am really pleased with it! Sorry I can't be more helpful! Best Rosemary
Let's hope the dogs appreciate it! Rx

Here is the Drunkards path...at last...sorry...I know it needs a good press..but I will do that just before I layer it up..probably with a friend on Friday! It is very big.....approx 84 ins by 98! Each individual square is 7 ins finished ! Rx

Well...I am doing my best to produce the stitchers of the future! Yesterday evening I was at the Brownies in the next village...decorating small calico bags...for Mothers day I think! Rx
Poor you Maria...I hope it all improves for you soon! Rx
Oh dear Margaret..what a pain! I must say I rarely have anything other than spray basing...usually successfully ! Rx
I think I totalled about 10 hr over the 2 days. There was a lot of sport on TV...so my time was my own! Rx
Here is the little quilt..made over the weekend. It is about a metre square...and is actually much brighter than it looks here!
Now back to some more drunkards paths! Rx
Hi everyone.....how has your day been? I began by working on the drunkards path quilt....but have used up all the prepared squares...and truthfully couldn't face making any more this evening! So I started on a quick charity one....using strips to make squares to make HSTs as shown by Missouri star...using golds/brown /yellow..I think it will be very pretty..hopefully! I will take some photos in the morning...far too dull here today!
I can see why you find it so useful Brenda.......if you do a lot of pinning then your fingers must get so sore! Rx

And you would get paid! Rx
