I watched it this afternoon..interesting...but it left a lot of things unsaid what it cost to have a stall at the craft fair...and whether that was taken into account...I would guess it was very expensive! So it's difficult to know how much of the money they took was profit...there was no mention of cost of the materials either!

There were 3 different crafters and some of the advice was I will watch the series!

Thread: A sewing machine for a total beginner?
18/09/2019 14:49:08

Firstly...what do want to do? Fancy machines are great..but only if you are going to use all the facilities! Are you only using it at home? Will you have to move/carry it? Weight comes into it in that case! Rosemary x

Good morning everyone..I know it's early...but I have just had the very first offer, everything 50% off, from Vista! So I am beginning to think about creating a calendar for next year! So if anyone has a quilting photo I could include...please email to me...a hi-res image please! And of course anyone can order a copy! I'm not sure exactly how much...but I will find out and let you know! Rosemary x

Good evening everyone...just been having a sort out....and I have a simple question....what do you do with oddments of wadding? I don't mean biggish pieces but the strips cut off when you square up things before adding the binding?I was contemplating having a go at making a rug to mat h my quilt! I saw several being demonstrated at FoQ....has anyone else tried? And how do you join wadding? Does it really work?Best,Rosemary xx

I always find pricing really difficult...but that seems reasonable!

Thread: Do you match thread colour to fabric when machine piecing?
14/08/2019 13:23:06

I buy lots of cream cotton thread from Empress Mills each FoQ and use that for most things except black or very dark piecing..this year I bought a dark grey as well!

For quilting does vary......I do use coloured threads on the top quite often! Rx
