Good morning everyone...sorry I have not been here very much but I have been busy........with the quilt for FoQ.....which is coming along nicely...... with making small item (purses.....doggie bandanas...baby bibs) to help Scarlet raise the money she needs for a trip next year and still making baby quilts......one of which has just been sold locally! So I will have to make another to replace it!!

Are you all still busy sewing? Don't forget to share photos when you can please!

Sounds interesting and challenging Eileen.......Fabric Freedom do a glitter range of fabrics......and I'm sure there are a lot of gold on Christmas ones....but I don't know about lions though! It is possible to print your own images...which could be embellished...either with gold paint or thread.....

I'll keep my eyes open for you....what is the time scale you're working to?

Sorry Nicole...your message has only just appeared for me as well! One of the first decisions you will have to make...what is your budget? Are you in a hurry? Certainly..if you can get to the Festival of Quilts at the NEC...then you will be able to try out most makes...and there are often really good offers to be had there! A lot of machines have loads of facilities..most of which you may never use! If you want to quilt large items...then a big throat ( the space to the right of the needle) is really useful! Having said that one of the best quilters I know uses an ordinary Bernina without too many fancy facilities! I was in your situation last Summer and everyone I asked praised a different make...and probably someone else said that they would never have one in the house! I have a Pfaff and am really pleased with it! Sorry I can't be more helpful! Best Rosemary

Here is the Drunkards path...at last...sorry...I know it needs a good press..but I will do that just before I layer it up..probably with a friend on Friday! It is very big.....approx 84 ins by 98! Each individual square is 7 ins finished ! Rx
