I'll go for pink, think no one is getting that colour so far.

I've just finished my first star and will post to Reenie tomorrow.

Lexy - I cut my pieces out slightly bigger than the pattern, as otherwise I tend to have the same problem. So I cut out the strips as 5" by 10" before speed piecing the half triangle squares. If the squares then come out a little large, it's easy to trim them down rather than having to start from scratch.

Hope that makes sense, here's the part of the pattern with the measurements. So the piecing strips I cut as 5 * 10 rather than 4 7/8 * 9 3/4. If you sew the 3 columns of 3 squares, each will be 4.5" wide. When you see the columns together, you then lose 0.5" from the central column and 0.25" from each side, making an overall width and height of 12.5".

Beryl, I'm very sorry but I think I've missed your birthday. Apologies, I think it's the first one I've missed this year. I will put my card and fabric in the post this weekend, so hopefully you will get it soon. Glad to hear you had a good day with your family.

This pin on Pinterest made me LOL

In my local fabric shop, they've got a quilt behind the counter with various quilting phrases and jokes on it. I was trying to find it online but can't currently. I'll ask them when I next go in if they sell it or who makes it, if that would help.

I did find this on ebay when I searched for "quilting words"

Thread: Fabric swap anyone?

Is it OK if I swap a few different fabrics? I've got some seasidey fat quarters so could bundle them together.

12/07/2014 11:31:03

Please can I join this swap. I'm happy with either icecream or seaside. Thanks.
