I'm desperate to go/meet up, but, with my final replacement op ( the light IS at the end of the tunnel) date not showing itself, everything is still a bit up in the air.

Might be a last minute thing.

My rate, my dd Citro?n c1 has a similar problem. Last year the inside of the car was a bit like a swimming pool. The weather was very wet. It seemed that the water was coming in through the rear light at the top of the hatch. We bunged it up, not sure if it's totally fixed though. It hasn't been quite so rainy since. The other thing we had was a blocked up drain off the roof, or was it the washer pipe, can't remember. Good luck, or you could get a goldfish 😉.

Yes June, I think it is. You have to line up more carefully than I did, six layers of fabric exactly the same, and cut 60degree triangles. It was great fun rotating them to see the different effects made by matching up the same corners.

My attempt at kaleidoscope quilting. With original fabric in picture. Considering, the fact that I know I am not an accurate, neither a patient quilter, it's not too bad. The pattern on the fabric is definitely too small though.

aah miss-cutting triangles, I just did that trying to cut some 60 degree blocks, to make kalidescope blocks., hmm accuarcy is not really in my vocabulary, but we shall see...

I think most of my stash is novelty fabric, so if you ever need a small amount of something specific, shout.

Margaret, maybe you could have your afternoon tea on a different day? it would still be a special event.and you could spend the actual day spoiling each other.

( maybe an hourly mini present, eg mini eggs, hand made heart keyring, paper folded shape, single flower from garden perhaps. magazine you wouldnt normally get, cup of tea/coffee with something addedwink in the morning ( not your usual cuppa! ) doesnt have to cost a lot)

pllease excuse my wild imagination,

p1020076.jpgIve been a bit quiet, we had a 30th wedding anniversary party last weekend, and I was concentrating on that, unfortunately the turnout was not as high as we expected, everyone seems to have gone down with a nasty cold. however we had a great time, with lots of space for dancing, and large 'doggy bags' all round. then on monday we both succombed to the same lurgy. hopefully, next week will see us back to normal.

Sylvia, your bag looks lovly, no one will notice the zip, with such super pattern on the sides.

by the way, i read somewhere that a good way to put a zip in a bag type thing, is to stitch fabric tabs at each end, it gives something easier to work with.
