|Thread: Show and Tell 2018|
Thanx Reenie - the error on the first block is I did two squares, then what should have been the third began the spiral at the bottom right hand corner. I have 47 blocks to do and so far have done about 18. I have decide to do all the edge block will the same design - what every that will be - something simple and that allows for the finish. I am going to try the Dutch method of finishing a quilt.
This started off as a basket but instead of attaching handles I decide to add a top and make a jar instead.
I am currently working on my Japanese Plaid quilt (the quilt of 2018 I guess) - here is a couple of the blocks I have finished:
(spot the error above)
Such lovely things ladies!! Cute fish Carol Such a lovely friendship quilt you ladies made for Dany I am sure it will mean so much to her. Reenie wonderful wall hanging - the pattern would make great cushions too. But Reenie your Labyrinth Walk quilt ......oh my!!! A-maz-ing!! I love it!!
Wow everyone has been so busy and making such wonderful things - Eileen I just love, love, love your mariners compass quilt, it is perfect!! (Also really love the bowls your husband made you - didn't know that about the beech wood. I have seen that effect and just though it was normal for beech.
And the Bargello quilt the colours are amazing - the board fabric looks like it was made for the bargello fabrics you must have had a job to find such a match Margaret?!
Ditto Pamela I also love the butterfly quilting you did Rosemary.

Jayne that is lovely and good to complete a UFO, one down and how many more to go??
You have sewn a family heirloon Glenda!
When you sew it by hand you put a little of yourself into it.

That is a lovely quilt Glenda - did you sew the quilt by hand?
Love your Christmas project Sylvia, they look like a lot of work too - beautiful!
Wow - wonderful bags Rosemary! I love the colours and also the way the handles match the fabric so well.
Christmas table cloth - I made this after making my Christmas 4 patch Rosemary.
It was a bit of a rush job and was an inch or so short for the table it was for but never mind.
|Thread: 4 patch swap|
Thanx Rosemary I received the patches and like Sue I am trying to mix them with my own pieces.
I have posted my Christmas and cream patches.
Makes you start to get into the festive season
and so I have started to make a few more Christmas tree decorations to give away.
I am in too please!!!
I have been enjoying the challenge this year - picking out the colours has been the hardest part.
And finding the time to sew the blocks has been good for me, forcing me to be a little more organised.
It is a sad mad world Margaret - don't go looking for logical reasoning in peoples behaviour. Mental illness comes to mind with what you have had to put up with this week. And families can often be the worst when it comes to abusive behaviour, such as you have suffered. But I think you have done a very lovely thing and commend you for it.
