I' m sorry to say I haven't been on line since before this crazy time began!

I was waiting for a knee replacement and kept being 'put back' finally I had a definite date-my 70th birthday but then that was cancelled on the 16th March and my husband and I went into self isolation.

A month later I received a letter informing me that I should be shielding until August!! Thank goodness for shop deliveries!

In late October there was a tiny window and some of us were able to have our ops- at last!

My knee is still very painful but only because some stitches didn't stay in place. I've been able to walk quite happily round our bungalow and I've been walking our lane whenever the weathers fine- less as the days go by!!

I'm afraid sewing took a back seat as jigsaws and reading still take up much of my time!

No doubt I'll get back to all those ufos in the new year.

It's taken this long for me to get back on the site-although I've been able to keep up with all your news.

I'd like to wish you all a peaceful Christmas and may we all have a much happier and healthier New Year.

Sue.

Hi everyone,

I have just managed to sort out my password problems!

Firstly I had the same problem this evening but with sewing group so I've just downloaded GBSB to watch now Shetland is recorded ready for tomorrow.

Secondly I only received my magazine on Saturday Valerie so maybe yours is with you now.

Thirdly I have enjoyed seeing all the finished works and loved the glorious colours.

Hopefully my password won't go AWOL again!

Hi everyone,

Only 25 hours till Christmas Day and I still need to finish the tree and put up the cards but all my presents have been distributed and that's the most important thing.

Both my husband and I have been struck with proper cold/coughs so only soft food passing our lips- chocolates and marshmallows being favourites!!

I'd like to wish everyone a very happy Christmas time and a healthy and prosperous New Year.

Best wishes, Sue* cocktail

Great news Eileen. I usually catch up on uninterrupted reading when I'm in hospital!

Hardly a scar then which is good news too-hope it's not too painful. Sue*

Hi.

Welcome to the site. Are you a quilter as well as a tailor?

What are you making at the moment?

I have about 6 quilt tops on the go and so never get bored with the making of different pieces which can be difficult at times!
