Margaret,

love your bargello quilt, well done. Sounds like you needed plenty of patience. The border fabric compliments it beautifully.

I made a small bargello quilt top during the 2013 Worldwide Quilting day - worldwide quilting day

It has sat on a shelf since then, so I dragged it out, added a border, made a sandwich and quilted it, about 41/2 hours.

Afraid the lighting isn't very good for the photo. I will finish it and not leave it for next years Quilting day wink

To all,

I spoke to Katy last night, she wanted a full run down on how everyone was doing - I did my best to update her as much as I could.

Katy is still having her ups & downs but she and her daughters are doing ok.

She asked me to pass on a message - she misses everyone and thinks about us all often, and she sends her love to all on the forum.

I told her we all still missed her.

Margaret, what a super bright quilt, love the back too.

I finally finished putting my little blocks together, been a difficult month but thanks to the Challenge I have at least finished one small UFO.alphabet month quilt.jpg

Jayne,

beautiful quilt top and what a well thought out wall hanging. Your visitor is going to be so proud to take that home for his Mom. That shed is certainly getting good use.

This is a series of 12 blocks made during a challenge set by Tessa in 2015/16 called Alphabet Month Challenge.

We all made a block for ourselves using a pattern we chose individually starting with the same letter as the month.

I made the blocks but never put them together so this month it will get done! (I hope).alphabet month blocks.jpg

Lots of busy people on here already, and lovely items.

Glenda -- Just got to say that I think your hand quilted quilt for your son is fantastic. He is a lucky guy with a very talented Mum.

Although I have been keeping an occasional eye on the forum, I haven't felt like posting much. Guess what I had for my birthday - that's right, flu. DH and I had flu all through January and I am just finding some energy again. Thank s to Maria for prompting me to post with your lovely sewing joke thread.

Hopefully I will have regained my posting mojo, I have already kick started my sewing mojo so this month is looking brighter.

Hugs to all that need them
