Glad you are pleased with the block.The block you got was the first one with a modification. I change the corner peach fabric the original was darker. I have taken a photo and will attempt to post. I also am not on the "alert" list.

Short post as new kitten is playing on the desk.

Have heard from Winnie she is busy with the village quilt. I have said will wait until she has time. My block will be posted along with the village blocks the early part of next week.

Have a look at the site owned by Leah Day. Lots of information and videos and it's free. Leah does not drop the feed dogs. Her work is superb.

Still trying to sort out the block size not quite 13.5". It is not going to beat me.The sample where I checked the size was correct. The seams were ironed open on the sample and on the block the seams were ironed to one side and I wonder if this is where the difference is. Have also cut the fabric for your star block.
